The larch is unique with needles that turn yellow in the fall and shed.  The needles are soft, cones are tiny. 

Plant in sun with moist to wet soil.

Larch - Siberian ( Larix siberica)

The siberian larch has the same soft green needles during the spring/summer and turns bright yellow in the fall.  Very

hardy tree.  Great color contrast.
